Still Sounds: The Great War

This documentary video by Margaret Moore was created for the Burrell to commemorate WW1. It is a development of the artist's ongoing work, Still Sounds, which explores the interweaving threads of local family history. Still Sounds: The Great War investigates the effect of this global conflict on the ordinary people of Glasgow whose families were involved in and were touched by the events of 1914 onwards.

On Thursday 28 August, 11.30am - 12.30pm, there will be an exhibition workshop. Come and meet the artist and contributors and see and hear them talk about their collection of keepsakes from WW1. Visitors to the Workshop are invited to bring along their own WW1 mementos for discussion. Please book in advance on 0141 287 2564
